Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) - Nurse Educator (Training and Development, Variable, 0.75) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. In this position you will:
Coordinate, implement, and evaluate orientation, in-service, and continuing education for nurses and other clinical staff as requested.
Participate in applicable performance improvement and research activities representing specialty on appropriate committees and task forces.
Serves as a role model, teacher, and coach to increase expertise of nurses and other clinical staffs as requested.
Serve as a clinical resource for staff, students, and community groups as needed.
Collect data and maintain department records in an organized manner consistent with hospital and regulatory requirements.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or able to attain
Minimum of three (3) years RN experience in acute care nursing
Basic computer skills: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree or willing to pursue within two years of hire
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) instructor credentials
Minimum of two (2) years experience in staff development or academic teaching
Experience in patient education
