The Division of Health Education within the Department of Health & Kinesiology and College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We are seeking candidates who are well versed in health-related and translational research with interdisciplinary research experience. Candidates will be emerging scholars capable of advancing a solid research agenda to progress the Division’s strong and expanding research portfolio. The candidate will become an integral part of the Division of Health Education’s faculty, with expectations to engage in research efforts and interdisciplinary collaborations, aggressively seek funding opportunities, provide research mentorship for graduate students, teach graduate and undergraduate courses and facilitate undergraduate research activities. Candidates will hold a doctoral degree relevant to the research and teaching mission of the Division of Health Education, have a strong record of research – which includes a potential to secure external funding and demonstrated success publishing in top-tier peer-review journals – as well as a commitment to dynamic graduate and undergraduate teaching. Preferred areas of scholarship include, but are not limited to, content areas and/or innovative approaches/methodologies which complement current faculty’s research foci, such as health inequities, sexual health, substance use/abuse, chronic disease prevention, complex dynamic systems and big data. CHES or MCHES designation is preferred.
