Consisting of either comprehensive unit or department supervision in the provision of clinical services, and dependent and interdependent managerial tasks under the direction of the Director and/or ACNO of a Division. Duties are divided between the clinically oriented functions and the management tasks. Actively engage and partner with stakeholders to support shared leadership and to resolve issues and meet the professional needs of those employees of unit or department. Responsible for the daily core operations of their unit or department. Clinical Supervisors may work cooperatively with unit/department Charge Nurses to ensure work-life balance considerations for both classifications occur. Performs targeted management tasks under the supervision of a Director and have the authority to make management decisions in dependent and interdependent fashion only.
Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and three (3) years of RN NICU experience with at least one (1) year serving in supervisory/managerial role in a clinical setting.
Licensing/Certification Requirements: Current State of Nevada License as to Practice as a Registered Nurse. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) certifications. Must obtain professional certification in Nursing Administration/Leadership from a nationally recognized certification body within one (1) year of hire.
