Flexible hours for RN in outpatient infusion clinic. Busy outpatient clinic providing care to patients who require IV therapy. The patient population includes hematology patients and oncology patients. Nursing responsibilities include direct patient care, consultant, and patient educator. RN will work together with other scheduled nurses as well as the physician and other healthcare team members to ensure the greatest quality of care for the patient.
Per Diem/Part Time and Full Time RN will be responsible for basic nursing duties and advanced Oncology patient care in busy private practice. Nursing responsibilities include:
Experience in caring for Oncology patients. IV placement and IV removal. Medication administration such as IV hydration, anti-nausea medications and other basic intravenous medications. Chemotherapy drug administration. Advanced knowledge and experience working with PAC and PICC Lines. Collaborate with Healthcare Team. Provide supportive resources and education to patient and families, promoting a positive outlook. Provide other services, such as outside referrals to coordinate palliative, supportive, and rehabilitative services.
Current California RN license, BLS certificate, Must have excellent IV skills and knowledge in VAD.

Dr. Wallach has been practicing medicine since 1974 and was board certified in internal medicine in 1980, She was also board certified in medical oncology in 1981 and hematology in 1982.
Dr. Wallach received her medical degree from the University of Sydney in 1974. She served her internship and residency specializing in internal medicine at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and specialized in hematology at The Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney and then the University of California, San Diego where she completed her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology. After 11 years in Boston where she was affiliated with Harvard Medical School at the New England Deaconess and Baptist Hospitals, she returned to practice in La Jolla, California.
