St. Luke’s Health System has an exciting opportunity for a Dosimetrist to join our team!
The Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for planning radiation treatments under the direction of the radiation oncologist and medical physicist. Provides consultation to radiation therapists on patient setups, simulations, and treatments. Completes documentation of dose calculations, special treatment instructions, and charges.
You will be joining a team of 4 radiation oncologists, 4 physicists, and 5 dosimetrists. We provide coverage at 4 facilities in the Treasure Valley.
CMD board certification.
Graduate of an AMA approved medical dosimetry program or on the job training in dosimetry under the supervision of a dosimetrist, medical physicist and radiation oncologist.
Must complete CPR certification before hire date and maintain current certification. Acceptable certifications are American Heart Association HeartSaver (HS/AED), American Safety & Health Institute CPR & AED for the Community and Workplace, or all three components of American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED, Infant & Child CPR.
Experience with Eclipse, VMAT, IMRT, and IGRT.
Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension and expression.
Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment.
