JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse-Clinic Nurse Supervisor-Opthamology LOCATION: Geisinger Medical Center DEPARTMENT: Opthamology WORK SCHEDULE: Days
JOB SUMMARY: Manages nursing personnel and daily operational related activities in Ophthalmology area using diverse skills in leadership, communication, human resources, and financial management. Collaborates with nonclinical support services to assure adherence to the requirements mandated by Joint Commission, Department of Health, Quality Improvement, and Infection Control. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range on their assigned clinical area. Directly accountable to the Operations Manager.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Licensure as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or eligibility for licensure, required. BSN or health care related Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum two years in related field of nursing required. Maintenance of clinical competence in assigned clinic area required. Previous management/leadership experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Some travel may be required.
