There are now openings for clinical discipline chairs for the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) anticipated branch campus in Monroe, Louisiana. The VCOM – Louisiana campus will be located on the campus of the University of Louisiana – Monroe (ULM) working in both public and private collaboration with the University.
Primary duties of the discipline chairs are to oversee curriculum content for the OMS1 and OMS2 years and to oversee the clinical rotation curriculum and clinical faculty for the OMS3 and OMS4 years. Discipline chairs duties will also include 2 to 3 days on campus weekly for academic instruction. The chairs will provide oversight (as well as occasional visitation) of the students and faculty at the clinical training sites. Opportunity will be afforded 2 to 3 days weekly (depending on discipline) for clinical practice.Specific job descriptions will be furnished to all qualified candidates.
Discipline chairs are currently being recruited for the following disciplines to begin as early as April 2019:
Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
Preventive Medicine / Public Health
OB – GYN

Education: DO or MD from accredited institution.
Licensure or Certification: Board Certification in Internal Medicine. Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years post residency experience in practicing Internal Medicine. However, minimum 10 (ten) years post residency experience suggested.
