This position reports directly to the Director of Quality Resources.
The data abstractor is responsible for ongoing coordination of data collection for the NJO Stroke chart abstraction and entering of data in Nuance Software.
This individual will be responsible for the computer data entry of stroke measures into Nuance.
Candidate must have current knowledge of Stroke Core Measure and Regulatory requirements.
Creation of an outlier list via an Excel spreadsheet that will be forwarded to the Stroke Coordinator for follow up with possible corrections
To qualify you must have a current RN License in NJ
Bachelors of Science in Nursing
Chart abstraction experience with neuroscience/neurovascular service lines
Basic understanding of stroke pathology, work-up, and prevention
Work experience with clinical research data abstraction
Knowledge and experience with use of Nuance data collection system, and Stroke Core Measure experience
