Providesdirect patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Usesunique knowledge and skills to contribute to perioperative patient outcomesthat are defined as observable or measurable physiological, psychosocial andpsychological responses to perioperative nursing interventions. Communicatesand collaborates with surgeon(s) and the anesthesiologist continuouslyregarding the patientâs condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgicalequipment and inventory. Obtains supplies for individual cases, ensures thatoperating room equipment is available and functioning, and that all appropriateneeds of the patient and surgical team are met.
Graduate of accredited school ofnursing
Two (2) years recent experiencein surgery
Current California Registered Nurse License
Current BLS Certification forHealthcare Providers (AHA certified)
Certification in specialty preferred
