Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the Division of Glaucoma Department of Ophthalmology University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of California is seeking glaucoma specialists to fill full-time faculty positions who will be appointed at the Instructor, Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.
The candidates will provide glaucoma clinical services at one or more of our multiple Bay Area clinical sites, and participate in medical student, resident and fellow education. Successful candidates are required to develop or advance an internationally recognized, independent and extramurally funded research program in the basic, translational or clinical sciences relevant to glaucoma.
Requirements: Candidates must hold an MD or equivalent degree and have a CA license or be eligible for full, unrestricted licensure, and have completed fellowship training in glaucoma. Demonstrated teaching competency as well as demonstrated success in clinical, translational or laboratory research are essential. We encourage applicants who are eager to pursue mentored research training supported by grants such as an NEIK-08 or K-23 award, with appropriately protected research time.
