Position Details and Responsibilities:
Function in the role of expert in the field of nursing/clinical practice including skills in outcomes and quality, leadership, consultation, education, and research/evidence-based practice to support the provision of patient care for the organization in a variety of care settings
With in-depth knowledge and skills, advanced judgment and practice expertise, assists staff, physicians and leadership in providing solutions to enhance the practice environment, promote professional practice, ensure regulatory compliance and enhance patient care outcomes
Serves as a role model, advocate, change agent, and leader. This position practices within the scope of the California Nursing Practice Act and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
Master's Degree or in progress, completion within 24 months of hire required
Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
National Certification within 36 months of hire required, preferred that candidate already possesses this certification
Minimum of three (3) years related experience including increasing responsibility in leadership and practice activities, prefer five (5) years
Extensive advanced knowledge of scope of practice, healthcare regulations, standards and systems
Knowledge and understanding of Evidence Based Practice
