Assists the Director of Trauma and other Trauma Program personnel in the daily operations of the Trauma Program through the performance of confidential administrative and clerical duties. Responsible for collecting and entering data to meet all regulatory guidelines for trauma center. Supports quality and process improvement efforts that are identified concurrently. Assists Registrar with data entry of patients into the required databases. Participates in data tracking/collection and trending. Demonstrates excellent organizational and communication skills in dealing with physicians, patients, public, and members of the hospital staff. Maintains confidential files of correspondence, statistical reports and documents relative to the operation of the Trauma Service, including preparation of confidential correspondence with little direction. Coordinates, assists and advises on a variety of meetings, seminars, services and/or programs. Resolves concerns within the Trauma Service Office in a positive and timely manner.
Minimum: High School graduate or equivalent
Preferred: Medical or Nursing background
One year experience in acute healthcare environment. Two (2) years previous secretarial experience preferred. Medical terminology essential for role.
Expertise in computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) operates office equipment, good interpersonal/communication/problem solving skills.
