Nemours is seeking a Behavior Technician (FULL-TIME), Temporary to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.
Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children’s Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.
Direct Patient Care Responsibilities:
Collect data for each child’s performance on a daily basis, both acceleration and deceleration
Conduct individual teaching sessions for each child as assigned – schedule changes daily.
Assist in ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of the therapy rooms.
Cares for child with toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, and all other self care programs and needs
Communicate session outcome with parents/caregiver
Assist in developing training materials that are up-to-date with current technologies on a daily basis.
Graph all data as assigned, weekly
Assist in designing data sheets and graphs.
Provide input for programmatic decisions.
Attend all weekly staff meetings
Presents case review and journal articles during weekly staff meetings, as assigned
Tracks all hours and maintains all documentation and certification according to the BACB
Meets scheduling and billing requirements as assigned. At least 80% for FT RBT.
Perform other duties as required
Adheres to all Nemours policies and procedures
Associates Degree required
Minimum of 3 months experience required
Must be a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) by the BACB, or
Must be eligible to sit for and pass the RBT test within 2 months of hire.
Registered Behavioral Technician status must be maintained throughout the duration of employment
Some experience exceptions could be made if experience is in a related field.
