The Data Warehouse Developer III will be a critical team member for the delivery of key customer commitments surrounding Coniferï¿½s Revenue Cycle Management data sets and support the build out of enterprise information management capabilities across the business.
This position requires the individual to be very logical, have strong coding skills, and exercise deep understanding of complex analytical environments. The developer will work individually and as a member of a development team to design, develop and maintain data transformation applications centered around a Hadoop cluster. The developer will be involved in all aspects of the development process, including but not limited to: design, development, and system testing. The individual will be expected to further their technical knowledge and knowledge of Conifer products during the work day and in off business hours. He/She must be a self-motivated and fast learner with a desire to learn new technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Data Warehouse Development and Integration
Must have experience with programming in Scala, Apache Spark with Scala, and SQL
Must have deep expertise (3-5 years) in data warehouse and data mart development, data integration techniques, star/dimensional schemas. Hands-on expertise in developing ETL based programs across heterogeneous sources and targets
Must have previous project implementations building analytical environments where he/she can demonstrate expertise engaging with business and technical stakeholders, document functional and technical requirements, build and read source to target mapping documents, develop and test the ETL routines, and support user acceptance testing
Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills and ability to engage with teams who may be remote
Nice to have Healthcare experience
Technology Must haves ï¿½ Scala, Apache Spark.
Technology Nice to have ï¿½ Apache Kafka, Kudu, NiFi
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelorï¿½s degree in computer science, engineering or management information systems
3-5+ years of experience as an ETL developer
3-5+ years of experience with Hadoop and Big Data technologies
Must be able to work in sitting position, use computer and answer telephone
Ability to travel
Includes ability to walk through hospital-based departments across broad campus settings, including Emergency Department environments
