This role provides leadership and support to the senior executive position (CNO) responsible for all nursing and other designated patient care functions/services within the hospital organization.
The role will assume responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level.
Role assumes 24/7 responsibility of Directorï¿½s assigned areas.
The role is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Academic degree in nursing: Bachelorï¿½s required
Minimum 2-3 years managerial experience required. Minimum of 5+ years in Womenï¿½s Services required, to include experience as a Labor & Delivery Staff RN.
Knowledge and experience in providing safe, proficient, quality nursing care.
Excellent problem solving, listening and language skills.
Must be fluent in spoken and written English with proficient writing skills. Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Strong computer skills and proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, Optilink Staffing and Scheduling, Medhost/Cerner E.H.R., Kronos.
Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
Healthcare Provider BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Certification.
Active California RN license.
