Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations Finance, this position is responsible for developing training materials, educating practice managers and staff, monitoring practice compliance with company policies and procedures and acting as liaison between the practices and Finance.
1.Work with the Senior Director of Operations Finance to establish a centralized training function encompassing Expense Watch Purchasing, accounts payable, and expense reporting services to a multi-entity physician practice organization.
2.Supporting finance staff and practice management including initial training of the staff, compliance monitoring, needs assessments and ongoing education.
3.Education of market operations and management on:
ï¿½utilization of MSO chart of accounts
ï¿½proper classification of expenses (e.g.: capital, expense reports, general invoices)
ï¿½Correct processes for creating POï¿½s, receiving materials and submitting invoices for payment, and submission of expense reports for physicians.
4.Participate in physician on-boarding activities as it affects Expense Watch, McKesson Bill to Accounts, Staples Bill to Accounts and rostering of locations with GPO.
5.Works with McKesson Account Reps, Staples Account Reps, and Expense Watch Vendor to create Ship to Accounts for new practices and link to correct Bill to Accounts. Acts as a liaison with Supply Chain Contracting to ensure locations are rostered with GPO.
6.Works with vendors identified as potential punchout partners with Expense Watch System.
7.Performs System maintenance within Expense Watch to add business units, add users, and complete updates to approval chains.
8.Acts as a liaison between the BPO team and accounts payable to address issues preventing invoices from being processed timely.
9.Acts as a liaison between McKesson and Staples Account Reps and accounts payable to resolve past due invoices.
10.Acts as a liaison between the Expense Watch vendor, accounts payable and finance team to address reporting needs and interface issues.
11.Communicates with physicians, market operations, practice management and staff, and operations finance. Responsible for working with practice leadership to identify opportunities for improving processes and efficiency related to payables functions.
Education: Associates or Bachelorï¿½s degree in related field required or 5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience: 5+ years in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare, Management, Procurement or physician practice experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Innovative thinker comfortable with creating training materials and program. Ability to work independently and is a self-starter. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both in writing and verbally, with physicians, management, vendors, consultants and other clients. Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong analytical problem solving aptitude with creative solutions. Ability to organize work with large amounts of information efficiently, manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with attention to detail in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point and web based training.
Ability to travel 50% of time.
