Chuckawala Valley State Prison in Blythe, CA

California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking a nurse manager to join our Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program.  This newly-created statewide program is designed to provide integrated, specialized care to patients with a history of substance use who require additional medical assistance. 

In this key position, you will:

• Plan and evaluate the objectives and effectiveness of statewide programs/initiatives, including the Whole Person Care Program, Substance Use Disorder Treatment, and Hepatitis C and HIV Treatment
• Maintain overall oversight of these programs’ surveillance for effectiveness, barriers to treatment compliance, program initiatives, and access to care
• Plan, assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of program nursing staff, social services, and administrative support staff
• Work collaboratively with a large multidisciplinary team, including clinicians from primary care, pharmacy, mental health, dental, and specialty services
• Complete audits, ensuring proper documentation of patient care activities and participate in ongoing quality management/improvement efforts

To thrive in this position, you must have:

• Current CA RN licensure
• Three years of experience as an RN within the last five years, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity, and two years of which must have been in a general acute care hospital (Possession of a BSN or MSN may be substituted for one year of general acute care hospital experience)
