Responsible for the workflow of the Revenue Integrity team, overseeing their daily duties. Supervises and provides oversight of Nurse Auditor program. Assures compliance of documentation for charging purposes. Positively interacts with co-workers, managers, directors, and ancillary department staff. May have contact with senior hospital executives, attorneys, circuit courts, and auditors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Others may be assigned.
Supervision of Charge Audit and CDM team members and oversee daily workflow.
Perform Internal Audits of all revenue producing departments, compile statistical findings, and report results to department management.
Review, statistical analysis, and continuing education of Charge Capture and Reconciliation procedures.
Attend, facilitate, and actively participate in the monthly meetings and daily lineups of the Revenue Integrity Dept.
Audit patient accounts to verify accuracy of charges and make any necessary corrections as requested by third party payers, the Revenue Realization Center or HIM.
Perform Quarterly audits of team members and follow up with education.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Current active Nursing License. RN, or BSN, preferred or Three years clinical and financial experience required.
Candidate must have revenue cycle experience.
