The Anesthesia Technician provides assistance to the anesthesiologists and CRNAï¿½s before, during, and after an operative procedure; prepares/cleans equipment and medication (if licensed) needed for the administration of anesthesia; and assures and orders adequate levels of supplies needed for anesthesia. Checks functioning of all anesthesia equipment and reports deficiencies to appropriate department. Works in collaboration with Department of Anesthesia and vendor representatives to identify supply and equipment needs.
High school diploma and post high school vocational/specialized training.
Two (2) years clinical experience in hospital operating room or similar setting.
