Carle is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgery 1st Assist PA or NP to join our Cardiothoracic Surgery Division at Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Illinois.

Position Details Include:

• Experience working as an Advanced Practice Provider in Cardiothoracic Surgery is required - including surgical first-assisting, Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH), and perioperative patient care.
• Join a team of two Cardiac Surgeons and one Advanced Practice Provider.
• Practice scope includes adult cardiothoracic surgery – Coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, vascular surgery
• Opportunity to develop sub practice based on clinical interests.
• Comprehensive practice that includes surgery, clinic, and hospital rounding, allowing 1st Assist APP to practice full scope.
• Opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation’s first medical school focused at the intersection of healthcare and engineering

Education Requirements:
Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. 
Training in surgical first assist and EVH required.

Licensure/Certification Requirements: 
Current Illinois physician assistant or nurse practitioner licensure.
