Specific Duties % of Effort 1. Provide individualized nursing care to patients under the direction of the charge nurse to include assisting with preparation of the nursing care plan for assigned patients from verbal report and other patient records. 15% 2. Administer medications and vaccines,including travel vaccines,as prescribed and employ special nursing care techniques as required; administer intravenous medications and fluids as directed; maintain required records. 50% 3. Evaluate nursing care with emphasis on nursing procedures and patient responses; assist in the delivery of nursing care and selection of nursing priorities.20% 4. Assist with control of material resources and maintenance of clinic; assist in appraisal of effectiveness of material and equipment and report any equipment malfunctions to charge nurse. Participate in in-service education programs. 5% 5. Assist providers and other nursing personnel in the performance of various diagnostic procedures. 5% 6. Minimum Qualifications Education Work requires graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program with State of North Carolina licensure. Successful completion of an approved Pharmacology program, preferred.
Experience Work requires one year of nursing experience. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Experience in college health or an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
