JOB SUMMARY
 

We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Progressive/Intermediate Care units.

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health’s (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner. 

Our Progressive/Intermediate Care Unit RNs have a unique job of caring for medical and surgical patients that still require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but are stable enough to no longer need ICU care. We need PCU RNs that are knowledgeable of computer monitoring equipment, attentive and able to proactively detect and manage life-threatening or emergency situations. 

Ideal PCU RN candidates will take pride in monitoring their patients and have the ability to remain focused during stressful procedures and medical situations that require quick thinking.

§  Shift/Schedule – 36 hours/week Full Time Days 7am – 7pm
