The Pathway to Excellence/Evidence-Based Practice Nurse executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches in the management of clinical practice systems as they relate to Nursing Service and the interdisciplinary team. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Duties include, but are not limited to: Functions as leader in the implementation and sustainment of the Pathway to Excellence Program Responsible for or included in the management of performance improvement, customer service/patient satisfaction, patient and employee safety, and knowledge and application of accreditation and regulatory standards Promotes the medical center mission, vision and values; complies with Equal Employment Opportunity programs, partnerships, customer service standards and Veterans Affairs policies and procedures. Maintains the standards required by the State Board of Nursing and according to the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice for Nursing Guide positive transformation of practice environments in multiple settings committed to nursing workplace excellence Possesses a basic understanding of clinical treatment modalities, organization and administration of the VA healthcare delivery systems, educational principles, clinical information systems, accreditation and regulatory standards, and program development.
