Fairview Ridges Hospital is a 150 bed facility and is located in Burnsville, MN. The Ortho Spine Surgical unit is looking for an RN to support their 26 bed unit. This unit cares for adult orthopedics, spine, total joint replacements, general surgery and post-surgical recovery patients.
Fairview Ridges has been named a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery and a Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement by Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
About this position:
The RN can choose: .6 (48 hours), every two weeks
8 hour shifts, on the night shift and works every other weekend (F, S, S)

Nurse to patient ratios on the day and evening shifts are 4:1 on Nights is 6:1.
The registered nurse is responsible for providing patient and family centered nursing care following established standards, professional practice guidelines and MN Nurse Practice act. The nurse will have an essential role in coordinating care with physicians, care coordinators, patients, and families and delegates responsibilities as appropriate. The RN on this unit will train to post op surgical and other complex medical patients. Epic is used for computerized medical records charting.
