Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
St. Luke's Health System is currently seeking an Advance Practice Provider to join our collegial and multi-disciplinary Acute Care Surgery team. This full time opportunity will be located in our Nampa Clinic, working day time hours Monday - Friday with one weekend of call per month. Duties include assisting in surgery, rounding on patients in the Nampa Hospital, and seeing patients in the Nampa Surgery Clinic. Weekend call may include any of our Treasure Valley Hospitals.
This team prides itself on performing surgery only when it is truly necessary, recommending non-surgical interventions as first-line treatment, having high-quality outcomes and keeping and open-line of communication with referring physicians. We have the advanced training necessary to meet the complex needs of patients requiring surgery for severe or sudden illness.
We specialize in a variety of surgical procedures, including laparoscopic (spleen, gall bladder, colon, and appendix) surgery, laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication, appendectomy, gall bladder surgery, small bowel obstruction surgery, cancer surgery, hernia surgery, splenectomy, and melanoma surgery. We also evaluate and treat conditions such as appendicitis, masses, abscesses, cysts, and diverticulitis.
JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Masters Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Physician Assistant.
Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
