This Clinical Instructor- Simulation Coordinator position is located in Hospital Education at the West Haven, CT location. This position is a full-time at 40 hours per week. Provides leadership in the management & coordination of the BLS & ACLS program monitoring compliance rates and outcomes. Coordinates all BLS/ACLS Instructor training and certification Serves as a member with possible co-chair responsibilities for the CPR Committee, and maintain standards associated with ongoing certification and maintenance meeting the American Heart Association (REDI & Resuscitation Quality Improvement) standards. Oversees maintenance of simulation equipment and assures sufficient training materials are available to support the BLS/ACLS & Simulation program Provides consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities and mentorship opportunities. Serves as an Agent in Place/ nurse planner for obtaining continuing education hours. Integrates relevant research outcomes into nursing professional development practice through effective learning activities. Participates in quality performance improvement activities Collaborates with all services to develop, implement, and analyze simulation events and trainings. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm, regular rotations to off tours for staff training.
