The Claims Payable Coordinator is responsible for accounting duties as assigned in the Finance Department. These duties include claims payable check processing, matching disbursement checks, deposit logs, filing, and any other duties needed in the department.
Degree of Supervision:
This position reports to the Controller and requires moderate supervision to ensure tasks are appropriately prioritized.
Job Duties and Essential Functions:
Generates all claims payable checks and corresponding reports, posting reports and explanation of benefits on a daily basis. All databases listed on the EZ-Cap check run log must be run that calendar day.
Performs and/or coordinates the preparation, distribution, signing and mailing of all claims payments and denials (zero EOBâ��s) on a daily basis.
Matches Accounts Payable checks with the corresponding invoices and distributes for signing.
Files all back up documentation for the department including, accounts payable and claims payable.
Performs clerical functions of the department including filing, copying, typing, faxing, and other duties as requested.
Prepares deposit logs for all assigned entities. Completion of the deposit logs includes verification and notification to the appropriate individuals.
Processes all CMS mail through the postage machine daily.
Maintains daily claims paid log for all IPAâ��s managed.
Oversees all office supply ordering for all CMS departments. This includes toner, paper, office supplies and printed stationary and business cards.
Coordinates with repair vendors for printers, copiers, fax machines, Documatch and all leased office equipment.
Works with other staff in the Finance department as needed.
Performs, in general, all of the duties as assigned by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer and such duties as may be assigned from time to time by Administration.
Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures relating to the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Maintains security, confidentiality and controls on all documents in the Finance department, including check stock, check back up and cancelled checks.
Maintains and keeps in total confidence, all files, documents and records that pertain to the operation of business of Cap Management Systems.
All other job related duties as it relates to the job function or as delegated by the management team.
Light physical effort (lift up to 10lbs). Mostly sedentary work. Regularly needs to be able to bend, stoop and reach to file.

High School Diploma or equivalent experience
1-2 years of experience as an Accounting Clerk.
Familiar with computers and office software.
