You Will Be Responsible For
Ensures patient meets physical condition criteria of MAB treatment per current CDC and government guidelines.
Ensures consent and appropriate documentation are completed prior to administration.
Assists staff as necessary to ensure smooth flow of clinic including patient screening, registration, medication administration, and other patient related responsibilities.
Educates new personnel to perform MAB administration responsibilities as required by government and organizational requirements.
Manages staffing schedule to provide safe coverage for patient census.
Communicates with pharmacy, staff, schedulers, providers, and director as necessary.
Maintains current knowledge of MAB treatment practices per governmental and organizational guidelines and adjusts clinic practices as necessary.
Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment and provides staff support during emergent conditions.
Communicates with attending provider any changes or concerns in patient condition.
Communicates with Emergency Department or emergency services (911) as necessary.
Demonstrates performance that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectation.
What You Will Need
Understanding and safe handling and administration of medications required.
Understanding and safe handling/disposal of sharps and biohazard material required.
Intravenous line insertion/care required.
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Current RN License in North Carolina required.
Currlent BLS certification required.
Supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
Oversees and manages the administration of monoclonal antibody (MAB) infusions or injections for patients at risk for complications related Covid-19 infection in the outpatient setting.
