We are currently hiring for a RN to work 36 hours per week on the Clinical Decision unit.
Our Clinical Decision Unit has been created to provide superior patient care to those patients requiring observation. The nurse utilizes the standards of practice and professional performance with assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to the Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Service Excellence to all customers at all times
- Medication Administration Competency
- Physical Assessment Competency
- Provision of nursing treatments within scope of practice
- Exceptional Interpersonal Communication skills
- Collaboration with multi-disciplinary team members
- Teamwork and Flexibility Critical Demands: Ability to perform effectively and efficiently in crisis situations. Ability and willingness to work with a wide variety of patients, and to maintain professionalism and effectiveness in times of high stress. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Discretion and confidentiality are required.
REQUIREMENT: - Current RN license. (Maryland RN license or license from a compact state.)
- Associates Nursing Degree, BSN preferred.
- Must have at least Two years experience. Acute Care preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS preferred. Must get within 1 year of start date.
- NIH Stroke certification required within 90 days of start date.
The successful candidate may be eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus to be paid over a period of 12 months.
