A Urology Nurse Practitioner who provides both the first contact for a person with an undiagnosed health concern as well as continuing care of varied medical conditions, not limited by cause, organ system, or diagnosis. Their work involves treating male patients with issues involving their reproductive organs, although they also treat both men and women with urinary tract issues or problems with their bladder or kidneys. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Assess health history and physical findings for urologic conditions - for example kidney, bladder, ureters, prostate, erectile dysfunction, other genitourinary problems.
