CNA Progressive Care Unit Part time Rotating Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant- Advanced is a staff member trained to provide personal care and supportive services to the unit�s patient population. In addition, the CNA-Advanced has completed additional training and maintains annual competency in at least three of the five following areas: 12-Lead EKGs, Unit Secretary duties, Telemetry Technician duties, Electrode placement & telemetry monitoring, and Phlebotomy. He/She functions under the direction and supervision of the RN or LPN at all times.
Qualifications:CNA PROGRESSIVE CARE UNIT Part time ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
Education:
1. GED or High School Graduate preferred.
2. Completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant program with a South Carolina Nursing Assistant Certificate or relevant patient care experience.
Experience:
1. A minimum of five years of direct patient care experience.
2. Documented experience in additional areas defined above.
Other Qualifications:
1. Current BLS certification.
2. Current initial or annual competency in additional areas defined above, or completion required within 90 days of hire.
