Memorial Sloan Kettering was one of the first US hospitals to have an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) dedicated to the care of cancer patients with severe illnesses. The ICU has provided state-of-the-art multidisciplinary care to critically ill patients.
The ICU team includes many healthcare providers that have a lot of training and experience in intensive care; ranging from physicians to occupational therapist. Clinical Nurses in the ICU implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing.
