Indiana University Health Physicians has an exciting opportunity to be a part of expanding women's health services. We are adding a Supplemental Certified Nurse Midwife to practice 100% inpatient midwifery in the new Riley Maternity Tower.
Position Details:
Work independently, 100% inpatient, with in-house OB Laborists & Resident teams available to assist and consult as needed
12-24 hours per week, as needed
Schedule includes rotating nights schedule
OB-Midwifery call for full-scope practice
Fast paced, Level 4 academic perinatal center with dedicated 10-bed OB Emergency Department
See low to high-risk, complex patient population
Key Responsibilities:
Procedures include vaginal delivery, episiotomy with repair, repair of 1st & 2nd degree lacerations, FSE/IUPC, LARC placement, vaginal microscopy
Work directly with 1-2 physicians and 5 other midwives
Qualifications:
Must be a Certified Nurse Midwife by the AMCB
Function in collaborative relationships with consulting physicians as clinically indicated
Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care comfortably & confidently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, teaching & patient care skills specific to an emergent care setting
Will support the growth of midwifery practice within the IU Health system
1-2 years experience preferred
