JOB SUMMARY:
The Nurse Clinician III (NCIII)'s knowledge base has been validated through achievement of national certification in specialty area. The NCIII is experienced, knowledgeable and skilled in specialty area and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Practice characterized by pattern/trend recognition predictive of patient condition changes and indicative of intervention requirements. Practice is problem focused, but patient centered in the manner care is provided. Nurse Clinician III is able to manage unexpected or emergency situations that are commonly seen in assigned specialty population.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Licensure/Specialized Training:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas;
Nationally certified in clinical specialty.
Work Experience: Two to three (2-3) years experience in Nursing preferred in specialty.
Communication Skills:
Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)
Writing /Composing
Bilingual Skills Required: Preferred - Preferred Languages: any
Special Language Skills
Must be adequate to meet the following communication requirements:
Accurately interprets and transmits clinical information in English, both verbally and in written form; and Sends and receives messages patients/families/SOs can comprehend.
