The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides nursing care to chronically and/or acutely ill patients under the close supervision of the Registered Nurse, nurse practitioner, and/or the physician. Participates in patient care planning. Serves as a member of the nursing team and provides input to team members relative to the patient's discharge plan. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: U.S. citizenship: Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education or Training: Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State Agency
