Job Description

The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking to recruit an academic breast pathologist (MD, Ph.D.) at the rank of Assistant Attending level to join the Breast Pathology Team, a cadre of breast pathologists with extensive expertise in neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases of the breast, led by Dr. Edi Brogi. The position provides an opportunity to practice breast pathology translational research in a unique professional environment that emphasizes a multidisciplinary team approach.

The position entails 75% translational research, and 25% diagnostic breast pathology, with ample opportunities for collaborative research with an outstanding supportive infrastructure.

The Assistant Attending must have strong experience in laboratory-based translation research on rare breast cancers, rare tumors, endocytosis, the intersection between germline and somatic alteration. Further, the Assistant Attending must have expertise in genomics, functional genomics, and artificial intelligence.

Candidates are required to be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology, have a valid New York Medical License, and New Jersey State License, and have completed a breast pathology fellowship and conduct specialized practice of breast pathology in an academic setting for at least seven (7) years.

Pay Range: $253,290 - $330,061 yearly
