We are excited to announce the opening for an experienced full-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) within the Gynecologic Oncology Department at Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals in Fairfield County, Connecticut. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-established practice where you will enjoy significant autonomy while working alongside respected and collegial gynecologic oncologists.
Position Overview:
You will play a key role in providing comprehensive assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patients throughout their disease journey. You will be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, working across inpatient, ambulatory, and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with attending physicians in obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and reviewing diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
Formulate and manage patient treatment plans, including chemotherapy.
Provide paid call coverage, including rounding at least one weekend per month.

Qualifications:
Experienced graduate of an accredited Certified Nurse Midwife program.
Active CNM Connecticut State License.
BLS certification and DEA License.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in Women’s Health or oncology preferred but not required. Previous surgical experience is not required. Minor procedures will be performed, such as endometrial biopsy/colposcopy, performed in the outpatient clinic.
Availability to work approximately 40 hours per week in clinic and outpatient settings.
Ability to work about 3 days per week at Danbury Hospital and 2 days per week at Norwalk Hospital.
Willingness to provide on-call coverage with support from a gynecologic oncologist, including at least one weekend per month.
