Our Infusion team operates out of the Bloomington Hospital and is an all-around infusion center. The nurses on our team will handle various infusions, including chemotherapy, antibiotics, fluid replacement, iron infusion and phlebotomy. We do not require a certification for hire; however, a Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification will begin shortly after hire.

Nursing skills gained on this unit:

• Develop phenomenal procedural skills
• Infusion skills ranging from chemotherapy to phlebotomy

Qualifications

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
