If you aspire to become an RN II Intern in the Intensive Care Unit, we have two (2) NIGHT shift openings available for our Internship Program. Start dates are February 16  for External candidates and February 22, 2026 for Internal candidates. Strong preference will be given to Cedars-Sinai employees. The Internship Program is 12 weeks and involves classroom and hands-on training with a preceptor during the Day and Night shifts. Once completed, the RN will be able to function independently on the Night shift in the ICU.

Unit Details:

Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 12-bed Medical and Respiratory ICU that cares for adult patients with moderate to complex acuity. Diagnoses include sepsis, GI bleed, post code blue, and respiratory issues.  Additional training will be provided so the RN can perform CRRT. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:1 based on patient acuity. Each room has a HEPA filter, PAPRS readily available and RNs receive a new N95 mask per day.

Position Summary:

As a Registered Nurse, you are responsible and accountable for delivering direct and indirect patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. You will also:

• Provides direct and indirect patient care services, including the administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care.
• Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the hospital system
• Displays knowledge and is able to identify and make special adjustments to the specific populations needs, including cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, sexual orientation, economic, education, family and condition needs.
• Respond quickly, and with accuracy to changes in condition or response to treatment.

  • Tuition Reimbursement: Repays up to $600 per calendar year for fees expended to attend a job-related seminar, licensure renewal (if mandated by job description), workshop, conference, individual course, or other training programs. 
  • Tuition Loan: Provides up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved formal certificate or degree programs including prerequisites for approved degree programs. A tuition loan and reimbursement may, with appropriate approvals, be combined for a maximum of $2,600.
  • Critical Pipeline Loan: Tuition loans up to $5,250 for specific degree programs at approved, accredited schools identified by the organization, including BSN and MSN. This program is for attaining the following degrees:
  • Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given

Hours: 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Nights (12 weeks training on Day, Mid, and Night shifts)

Educational Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred

License/Certifications:

• Valid California Registered Nurse License
• BLS required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS required through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• LA County Fire Card
• Approved assaultive behavior training
• TNCC preferred

Experience:

• 1 year RN experience in acute patient care: Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Emergency Department or Peri-op unit experience, or Completion of Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital RN New Grad nurse residency program required
• Some critical care experience preferred 
• Experience with Shared Governance and or Magnet committees a plus
• Demonstrated dedication to customer service and ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues
