We are seeking to find a pediatric hospitalist APP to join our group at our community hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska.

This group of dedicated pediatric hospitalists is looking for an NP/PA to join our inpatient team. Our hospitalist physicians work on the inpatient ward and manage hospitalized children with chronic and/or complicated issues. The hospitalists are also responsible for attending high-risk deliveries, pediatric codes, and providing intensive care for patients awaiting transport.
The responsibilities of the NP/PA would include:
Assisting with rounding on newborns and some pediatric patients.
Admitting, daily rounding, and helping to facilitate discharge of newborns and pediatric patients.
Helping facilitate morning rounding for the team which would include direct patient care in addition to providing education to patients, families, and staff as needed.
A pediatrician will be present in-house 24/7 for consultation and support. We are a friendly bunch of pediatricians who are team oriented and quality driven.

11 bed pediatrics unit
12 bed level 2 nursery
1100 deliveries per year

Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants. NCCPA certification required.
