The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a radiologist to serve as the Chief of Pediatric Radiology section at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital at Oakland. The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Associate or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.
UCSF Radiology is committed to excellence in image based clinical care, education of future pediatric radiologists, and research in pediatric imaging. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to further develop an established section and continue to grow a strong partnership between the two sites. As the Chief of the Pediatric Radiology section at Benioff Children's Oakland, the selected candidate will be responsible for clinical operations, section administration, and research program development. The selected candidate will also oversee the training program, and will supervise and teach residents, fellows, medical students, and post-doctoral trainees in pediatric imaging.
The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability (or eligible) to practice medicine in California, and completion of fellowship training in pediatric imaging (completed by appointment start date) and expertise in pediatric imaging. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology. These requirements are to be met by the time of the faculty appointment start date.
